DESCRIPTION:CONCERT IN THE COURTYARD\nTuesday, May 26 | 6:00 PM\nDear Parents and Caregivers,\nYou are warmly invited to our Concert in the Courtyard, a short and informal evening celebration of jazz, blues, song, dance, and creative improvisation performed by our students.\nFamilies are welcome to join us in the courtyard beginning at 6:00 PM. Casual summer clothing is perfectly fine!\nArrival & Dismissal\n\nParents/caregivers will line up and enter the courtyard with their children through the breezeway leading to the music room portable just before their scheduled singing time.\nPlease note there will be no entry into classrooms.\nPerformances will take place on the concrete steps in front of Division 6’s classroom.\nAfter your child’s performance, families will exit together through the breezeway leading toward the newer portables.\nGrade 7 students will remain as the “house band” in front of the library windows throughout the evening.\n\n\n\n\nConcert Schedule\nFamilies will enter with their students just before their scheduled\n6:00 PM\n\nGrade 7 Concert Band – Basic Band Blues Redux\nDivisions 1 & 2 – Here’s the Way We Boogie\n\nAs students exit and the next divisions take their place:\n\nGrade 7 Concert Band – Star Wars\n\n6:10 PM\n\nDivisions 9, 10, 11 & 12 – Head and Shoulders\n\nAs students exit and the next divisions take their place:\n\nGrade 7 Concert Band – Another One Bites the Dust\n\n6:20 PM\n\nDivisions 3, 4 & 5 – Little Pig Blues\n\nAs students exit and the next divisions take their place:\n\nGrade 7 Concert Band – D Jam\n\n(Grade 7 students not in Jazz Band may leave afterward.)\n6:30 PM\n\nDivisions 13, 14, 15 & 16 – Junk Food Blues\n\nAs students exit and the next divisions take their place:\n\nGrade 7 Jazz Band – Gimme Some Lovin’ / 2:00 Blues\n\n6:40 PM\n\nDivisions 6, 7 & 8 – Puntledge Park for Me\n\nAs students exit and the next divisions take their place:\n\nGrade 7 Jazz Band – Rock Around the Clock\n\n6:50 PM\n\nDivisions 17 & 18 – Yuck Too\n\nAs students exit and the next divisions take their place:\n\nGrade 7 Jazz Band – Oye Como Va\n\n7:00 PM\n\nDivisions 19, 22, and Grade 6 students from Divisions 20 & 21 – Canada 1\n\nAs students exit and the next divisions take their place:\n\nGrade 7 Jazz Band – Louie, Louie\n\n\n\n\nRemaining students and families are welcome to help move equipment back to the music room at the end of the evening.\nWe look forward to celebrating our students’ creativity and musical talents with you!\n
