Minimum of 16 credits at the grade 12 level, including a required Language Arts 12.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>External Learning Credits: For details see <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/education-training\/k-12\/support\/graduation\">Ministry of Education<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Students must complete a minimum of <strong>30 hours<\/strong> work experience or volunteering.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, students must also complete three new graduation assessments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The new Grade 10 Graduation Numeracy Assessment was introduced in 2018<\/li>\n<li>The new Grade 10 Graduation Literacy Assessment was introduced in 2019\/20<\/li>\n<li>The new Grade 12 Graduation Literacy Assessment will be introduced in 2020\/21<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note on Language Arts 12 exams:<\/strong> Students graduating in the 2018\/19 school year will not write a literacy assessment. They will write the course-based Language Arts 12 provincial exam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note on Career Life Education:<\/strong> For 2018\/19, the following career education courses will be used in all BC schools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Career Life Education<\/li>\n<li>Graduation Transitions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For 2019\/20 and beyond, the following career education courses will be used in all BC schools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Career Life Education<\/li>\n<li>Career Life Connections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students on the B.C.
