Forms will be sent home on Monday, and will need to be returned by Wednesday.<\/span>
\nSupervising Adults:<\/span><\/b> Judi Ayers (Classroom Teacher), Natural History Stewards, BC Parks representatives, Parent Volunteers<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Destination and Nature of Activity:<\/span><\/b> Annual restorative planting session at Helliwell Park\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Transportation: First Student bus charters. <\/span><\/b>Our Hornby school bus will transport students and teachers to and from Helliwell Park.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Educational Objectives: <\/span><\/b>Environmental Outdoor Learning, Place Based Learning, Social Responsibility, Science<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Possible Risks: <\/span><\/b>injury consistent with risks of being outside (e.g. trip\/fall, trees\/branches, etc.). Injuries resulting from motor vehicle incidents (parking lot\/accident\/etc.)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Travel Itinerary:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

12:45pm \u2013 Board the bus at the Hornby Island Community School<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1pm – Arrive at the parking lot at Helliwell Park, walk to the restoration site with supervisors<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3pm \u2013 Board the bus at Helliwell Park<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3:15pm \u2013 Arrive at the school in time for dismissal<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If during instructional hours, alternate activity provided<\/span><\/b> for non-participating students:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Remaining at school with primediate group.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
