I am of English and Scottish heritage on my mother&#8217;s side and Kwagiuth, Tlingit, and English heritage on my father&#8217;s side.<\/p>\n<p>I am grateful to be to be a visitor on the traditional unceded territory of the K\u2019omoks First Nations, including the Pentlatch, E\u2019ik\u02b7s\u0259n, Sahtloot, and Sasitla. I thank them for the gift of living on their lands and working with their people.<\/p>\n<p>As an ISW I believe in creating connection and fostering a sense of belonging in each student we support. Our gathering space at the school is a place for all students to feel safe and welcome, where they feel valued and appreciated for all the gifts they bring.
