My Gramma, my Great Gramma and some of my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins on my Mom\u2019s side of the family grew up here as well, so this is the place that I always call home. I have mixed ancestry including Norweigan, Scottish, French and Anishnabe. Unfortunately I didn\u2019t see much of my Dad when I was growing up but I do know that On my Great Grandma was an Indigenous woman of Anishnabe heritage. I never got to meet her, but I have a picture of her with long dark braids, shiny dark skin and my Aunty Barb told me that she smoked a pipe!
