Hello my name is Lynn Swift. I am from the \u00bfEsdilagh First Nation which sits on the west and east bank of the Fraser River in Tsilhqot\u2019in territory. I am connected to this area through my grandmother Mary Boyde (Baptiste). On my mothers\u2019 side, my family are from the Tsilhqot\u2019in (Toosey) and Secwepmec (Canoe Creek) First Nations, Scotland, and Ireland. On my father\u2019s side, I am from the Tsilhqot\u2019in (\u00bfEsdilagh), Secwempec (Soda Creek), and Carrier First Nations, Scottish, French and English.<\/p>\n<p>I was born and raised in Williams Lake, BC which sits in the center of the three nations I mentioned above. I am grateful to be a visitor in the K\u2019\u00f3moks First Nation territory for the last 30 years.
