I am honored and grateful to be a guest on such beautiful lands and waters.

My name is Paul Arthur and I am one of the Indigenous Support Workers at Lake Trail Middle School. I take great pride in being born and growing up in the Comox Valley until I was adopted at 5 years old. Once I was adopted, I lived on Malcolm Island (Sointula), a small north island community that is east of Northern Vancouver Island. It was not until the summer of 2020 as I was finishing post-secondary that I found out I am Metis. My birth father’s side is English, Scottish, and Irish. My birth mother’s side is Metis, English, Scottish, Irish, French, German and Polish. With deep connections to Eastern US, Quebec and also Jewish connections. I come from many Metis families but a few are Lagimodiere, St Germain, Nault, LaRiviere and Roy. I hope to connect with each student in their own beautiful way and use creative expression such as writing as

a connecting outlet.I am honored, humbled, grateful, and proud to be doing this work. I look forward to meeting everyone and maintaining a safe, heard, and balanced environment with the students.

Marsee (thank you)

["post-4789","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
