Salad bar ordering closes

Hello Isfeld Families,

There will be salad bar service on Thursdays during lunch from February 8-March 14.  Ordering is now open until January 28, 2024.

The salad bar will offer a wide assortment of veggies plus at least two protein options (eggs, cheese, seeds, beans, tofu) plus one carbohydrate (whole grain buns, pita, wraps, noodles, tortillia chips) plus delicious homemade salad dressings.  Our meal themes, including Greek, Mexican, Asian, Glory Bowl and Classic vary from week to week so the veggies, protein, carbohydrate and dressing options vary. This complete meal is a bargain at $4.00. The Salad Bar will be operating under the province’s COVID-19 protocols which are also inline with BC’s FoodSafe initiative. All volunteers will be fully vaccinated and masked.

All orders must be made online in advance.  Ordering for the Feb 8-Mar 14 service session is now open and will close on January 28, 2024, we will not be accepting orders after this date.  Additionally, everyone including staff, are required to pay in addition to ordering online.  If you miss the ordering window and would like to get salad bar, you can bring $4 cash on the day at 12:05pm but only IF there are any leftover from the pre-orders.

***If you have a hotluches.net account for another school (perhaps you have an account for a child that attends elementary school), you cannot use the same account.  You need to create an account specific for Isfeld.  Each hotlunches.net account is specific to each school. ***

If you already have an Isfeld Hot lunch account, log in and follow these steps:

1. Click on “students” (even if you are staff, teacher etc).
2. Click on “order” under the students (staff) name you wish to order for.
3. Enter “1” in the box for any date that you wish to order.
4. Click “Update Order and Proceed”
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each student (staff)
6. Click on “Pay via Bambora” to pay via credit card. (note: Cash payments are not accepted. You must pay online. Any orders that have not been paid will not be processed)

If you do not already have an Isfeld Hot lunch account:

1. Click on “register” located on the top toolbar.
2. Enter “ISFELD” (in upper case CAPS) as the access code.
3. Complete the required info: your name, phone, address, email, choose a user-id and account password and click “register now”. (If you are interested in volunteering with the salad bar program please click “yes” to be included on the volunteer list).
4. Click on “students” (even if you are staff).
5. Add the first and last name of the person you would like to order for (this could be your child/student, yourself/teacher etc), then click on “insert”
6. If you have more than 1 person (multiple students, teacher etc) you want to order for click on “Add New” and repeat step 5.
7. Click on “order” under the person’s name you wish to order for.
8. Enter “1” in the box for any date that you wish to order.
9. Click “Update Order and Proceed”.
10. Repeat steps 5-7  for each student (staff).
11. Click on “Pay via Bambora” to pay via credit card. (note: Cash payments are not accepted

Please note, refunds will not be issued for any missed salad bar, for example, if the student is absent.
