Gord Hill\u2019s \u201c500 Years of Resistance\u201d graphic novel provides an accessible (and fun!) overview of many of the Indigenous resistance movements of the last few centuries. Take a look through the graphic novel (we have several copies) OR you can access the online version here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comoxvalleyschools.ca\/nalaatsi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/47\/2023\/09\/The_500_Years_of_Resistance_Comic_Gord_H.pdf\">The_500_Years_of_Resistance<\/a><br \/>\nChoose one particular resistance movement. Locate the following events and organizations in Chapter 8 &amp; 9 of your textbook. Take a few quick point form notes (2 points each):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Victoria Conference (1911)<\/li>\n<li>The Allied Indian Tribes<\/li>\n<li>Potlatch Ban<\/li>\n<li>Native Brotherhood of BC<\/li>\n<li>The Constitution Act<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITY 3:<\/strong> A number of significant court cases in the 20th century have shaped the current legal framework for Indigenous-settler relations.
