Student Support
Educational Assistants
Glacier View has four highly trained and hardworking EAs who work closely with students each day to support their learning needs. Our Educational Assistants work closely with the teaching staff to provide the individual programming that our students require to be successful. Our EAs also run additional groups to support student learning and growth.
Indigenous Support Worker
Kath Larson brings her knowledge and passion to working with and supporting our Indigenous students in their cultural, leadership and academic growth. Kath engages students in various groups and projects.
Ni’noxsola (Elder)
Sheila Buchanan is our Ni’Noxsola ( Nee nox so la ), which is the Kwak’wala word for Wise People. She is our fabulous Elder in Residence that provides cultural perspective and promotes inter-generational relationships for all students.
Counselling
Kelsea Lochhead is the school counsellor who provides a wide range of academic, mental health, and community referral supports for the students and families of Glacier View. Please contact Kelsea at 250-338-2752 ext. 43935 if you require assistance.
Youth and Family Worker
Vanessa Thornhill is the school Youth and Family Support Worker who provides supports for the students and families of Glacier View. Vanessa helps with the bus pass program, food programs, community supports, and helping with attendance. Please contact Vanessa at 250-338-2752 ext. 43930
Administrative Assistant
Marcy Petersen is the Administrative Assistant at Glacier View and can be contacted regarding student records, accounts payable, transcript requests and to answer general inquiries at 250-338-2752 ext. 43900.
Food Service Worker
Sheri Benson is our amazing food service worker that provides daily breakfast and lunch for our students. This service is provided to all students that wish to partake. She brings a wealth of experience and we are lucky to have her on staff providing healthy and tasty food every day.
