The Weekly Mar. 9 to Mar. 13 2026
I guess this will be the last time I remind folks about springing forward and changing the clocks an hour ahead between Saturday and Sunday night. It was great to see so many proud faces sharing their work at the student led conferences. Lastly, we truly appreciate the cooperation of our community as we supported our first responders in dealing with an RV fire across the street on Wednesday.
Gymnastics Equipment: Over the next two weeks students will have a chance use the school district gymnastics equipment. Always a highlight.
Safe and Active Schools Open House: A reminder that there is an open house at Puntledge on March 12th at 5pm. Attendees will be given an update on the overall project progress, provided a summary of the community input received to date, and have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the recommended actions developed from this community engagement.
More information is here: City of Courtenay hosting a second open house to discuss support of students walking and cycling | City of Courtenay
Sexual Health Education: Your child’s classroom teacher may begin teaching a sexual health unit before or upon return from Spring Break. Click Here for a letter explaining the content / curriculum covering sexual health education.

Accessible and Parking at Courtenay El.: We only have 2 spaces in the staff lot for accessible parking. If you do not have an accessible pass do not use those spaces. Others need them. We are a community that needs to support each other. Also, please do not to park between the red cones (bus zone) or in the staff portion of the parking lot before or after school. There is a small lot for parents beside the alley, before entering the main staff area.
