Volunteers and Parent Involvement
SD71 Comox Valley has a Criminal Record Check policy for volunteers. We welcome the assistance of parents and caregivers in all our school endeavors; for our classroom programs, as field trip supervisors or drivers, PAC, hot lunch help, to help at sports days, to help with special events, help out in classrooms, etc. Many of our activities would not be able to happen without the help of volunteers. Thank you for your support!
If you are interested in volunteering for the PAC, please email our PAC at: ardenpacexec@gmail.com
Volunteering and Driving at Arden Elementary
The School District’s updated volunteer policies require all volunteers with Arden Elementary to complete a criminal record check through the Criminal Records Review Program, British Columbia Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General. Criminal Record Checks through the RCMP will NOT be accepted.
There is no charge to volunteers for the checks and they are valid for 5 years and the results are usually confirmed in 2-4 weeks. Please keep your proof of submission until results are confirmed.
