Nugwa’am Adahu/Chettie. I am Kwakwaka’wakw of the Musgamagw Dzwada’enuxw, and Nakwaxda’wx. I also have ancestral ties to England, Ireland, Scotland, and Mexico. I was born and raised in the traditional territory of the Ligwilda’xw, E’iksan, and K’omoks (Campbell River). I am grateful to have been a guest in the traditional, unceded territory of the Péntłatch, E’ikʷsən,Šałułtxʷ & Sasitla for over two decades. I embrace the role of learner with deep respect, recognizing my responsibility to continually seek ways to enhance my understanding. It is crucial for me to reciprocate the knowledge gained, striving to be a respectful and responsible guest in this territory of learning.
