Sadie ʔətᶿ nan ,
My name is Sadie Timothy-McGee
I am honored to represent the Tla’amin First Nation and the Klahoose First Nation.
My late father is Kevin Timothy from Tla’Amin and my mother is Annette Fisher (McGee) from Klahoose First Nations.
I would like to acknowledge the traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nations; it is a privilege to work on their land.
I am excited to serve as an Indigenous Support Worker (ISW) within the Indigenous Education Department of SD#71 and Queneesh Elementary School. Growing up closely connected to the elders of the Tla’amin community, I have come to understand the importance of integrating Indigenous teachings into daily routines and educational practices.
My approach is to focus holistically on the well-being of the children at Queneesh Elementary. I am dedicated to ensuring that students are supported in alignment with the guidelines, protocols, and procedures established at the school. My primary goal is to foster an environment where all students can succeed.
As an ISW, I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for families, students, and teachers alike.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this work.
