Possible Daily At Home Learning Routines
The reality is that likely your week will end up as a mixture of all three types of schedules but they provide a starting place for planning with your family. Please remember that physical and emotional wellness is our number one priority through this time for our learners and families. It is not our goal to recreate school in your home! 🙂
Sample One: (Structured)
Morning routines (personal hygiene, get dressed, make bed, care for animals etc.) 8:00 Breakfast (family meal where possible) – help to clean up
Math 1/2 hour online 1/2 hour offline (online, offline, hands on, play based, mix of self directed and suggested learning activities from teacher)
10:00 – Healthy Snack Get Outside (GO) time (nature based learning – gardening-exploring etc.)
11:00 Language Learning Activities 1/2 hour online 1/2 hour offline (online, offline, hands on, play based, mix of self directed and suggested learning activities from teacher)
12:00 Lunch (family meal where possible)
Get Outside (GO) time (activity based learning – run/jump/ball skills/nature walk/skipping/obstacle course, scavenger hunt, etc.)
1:00 Second Language learningScience, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Math (STREAM) activities (online/offline, hands on, play based, project work, mix of self directed and suggested learning activities from teacher)
3:00 Snack – Healthy Snack
