I was born in Comox to a large family of Métis heritage. My ancestors on my Fathers side are from Fort Chipewyan and Scotland, and from Wales on my Mothers’ side.

I grew up swimming, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time at the beach. There were 5 children in my family, so we were sent outdoors a lot!

At the age of 19, I decided I wanted to see the world and went to Europe. After 20 years there, I was happy to return home to the eagles and tides which I hold close to my heart. Upon my return, I worked at the local Francophone School for over 10 years.

I have managed to live my life doing what I love the most, most of the time. This usually involves a happy mix of art, community, and children.

I am very honored to be a member of the Valleys’ most dynamic and passionate team which is Indigenous Education.
