My name is Holly Douglas, this is my 4th year of supporting students and families as the Indigenous Support Worker (ISW) for Courtenay
El. My ancestry is a blend of Coast Salish from the traditional territory of the Xwchíyó:m First Nations and Pilalt Tribe and Scottish/European. Halqemeylem is the traditional language spoken by Xwchíyó:m peoples and is the language that I share in my cultural teachings with students. I am excited for another year to build and strengthen relationships, cultural connections and community through my work with students and families at Courtenay El.
