Concert in the Courtyard

CONCERT IN THE COURTYARD
Tuesday, May 26 | 6:00 PM

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

You are warmly invited to our Concert in the Courtyard, a short and informal evening celebration of jazz, blues, song, dance, and creative improvisation performed by our students.

Families are welcome to join us in the courtyard beginning at 6:00 PM. Casual summer clothing is perfectly fine!

Arrival & Dismissal

• Parents/caregivers will line up and enter the courtyard with their children through the breezeway leading to the music room portable just before their scheduled singing time.
• Please note there will be no entry into classrooms.
• Performances will take place on the concrete steps in front of Division 6’s classroom.
• After your child’s performance, families will exit together through the breezeway leading toward the newer portables.
• Grade 7 students will remain as the “house band” in front of the library windows throughout the evening.

• Grade 7 Concert Band – Basic Band Blues Redux
• Divisions 1 & 2 – Here’s the Way We Boogie

As students exit and the next divisions take their place:

• Grade 7 Concert Band – Star Wars

6:10 PM

• Divisions 9, 10, 11 & 12 – Head and Shoulders

As students exit and the next divisions take their place:

• Grade 7 Concert Band – Another One Bites the Dust

6:20 PM

• Divisions 3, 4 & 5 – Little Pig Blues

As students exit and the next divisions take their place:

• Grade 7 Concert Band – D Jam

(Grade 7 students not in Jazz Band may leave afterward.)

6:30 PM

• Divisions 13, 14, 15 & 16 – Junk Food Blues

As students exit and the next divisions take their place:

• Grade 7 Jazz Band – Gimme Some Lovin’ / 2:00 Blues

6:40 PM

• Divisions 6, 7 & 8 – Puntledge Park for Me

As students exit and the next divisions take their place:

• Grade 7 Jazz Band – Rock Around the Clock

6:50 PM

• Divisions 17 & 18 – Yuck Too

As students exit and the next divisions take their place:

• Grade 7 Jazz Band – Oye Como Va

7:00 PM

• Divisions 19, 22, and Grade 6 students from Divisions 20 & 21 – Canada 1

As students exit and the next divisions take their place:

• Grade 7 Jazz Band – Louie, Louie

Remaining students and families are welcome to help move equipment back to the music room at the end of the evening.
