Earth Week

Earth Week (April 22-26): We have an exciting week of Earth Week related events and activities starting in a couple of weeks (more details to come). A few info items that require some pre-planning.

·        Wacky Wheelie both first recesses all week. The parking lot will be closed until 11:10 each day

·        Jewelry Renewal: April 24^th from 8:30-9:30ish Grade 7s will have Jewelry polishing kits and will work to restore and clean any silver wear or Jewelry that needs new love.  All proceeds will go to their end of the year activities. Suggested donation $15.

·        Giant Free Store – Friday April 26^th  (Donations start April 8^th) Spring Cleaning?  PAC is hosting a Free Store on Friday April 26^th as part of the Earth Week celebrations.  Donations of still usable toys, trinkets, games, etc…. can be dropped off  April 8^th – 19^th  mornings and after school in the wheelbarrow between the flagpoles.  Students will have the opportunity to choose one item April 26^th during school hours and the remainder will be open to parents and students after school.

·        Recycled Art Contest Enter Monday April 22-Wednesday April 24: Students can bring in their recycled art project to the tables by the main office.  Winners to be announced Thursday Morning.

Guidelines for the art contest:

o   You may use tape, glue, paint, nails to secure, colour or join objects

o   CREATE your greatest idea: costume, instrument, decoration, vehicle, project

o    LABEL your project with FULL Name, Grade, Teacher

o   HAPPY CREATING AND HAVE FUN
