These Scholarships below are now open to students for 2026/2027:
Loran Scholar Awards: Applications are now open for the Loran Awards. 36 awards will be available to high school students entering University in the fall of 2027, with birth years between Jan 1, 2005, and Sept 1, 2011. Loran identifies students ready to embrace the challenge of leaving the world better than they found it. We look for young people with a guiding sense of purpose, the capacity to collaborate to drive change, an enthusiasm to grow by pushing their limits, and the potential to serve and lead with integrity. Schulich Leader Scholarships: Schulich Leader Scholarships are Canada’s most coveted undergraduate STEM scholarships. One hundred awards are presented to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math program at 20 partner universities across Canada. Half are valued at $120,000 for engineering scholarships and half are valued at $100,000 for science and math scholarships. Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student each year to apply for the scholarship. A nomination application form will be available later this fall, and it will be added to this page. The University of Toronto National Book award: This award recognizes and rewards the very best Canadian secondary school students, regardless of which university those students choose to attend. National Book Award recipients are students who demonstrate superior academic performance, original and creative thought and exceptional achievement in a broad context. They excel in academic pursuits, demonstrate enthusiasm for intellectual exploration and have a strong involvement in the lives of their schools and communities. The award recipients receive the National Book Award (a physical book) recognizing their achievements and academic potential to be presented at their high school’s graduation or awards ceremony.
