Parenting Programs starting this Fall

BGC (formerly Boys and Girls Club) invites caregivers to find support with two parent peer support groups:

Parents Together, a free nine-week program starting September 16 from 7pm to 9pm is for caregivers raising youth aged 9–16. Peer support is a major component of this program and helpful for parents to know they are not alone with their challenges.

Parenting Without Power Struggles, a free nine-week program focusing on parenting fundamentals like boundaries, values, communication and self-care. This free nine-week program starts Thursday October 8 from 7:30 to 9 pm and is for caregivers raising youth 7-12.

If you’re navigating challenges or looking for support, you’re not alone—Both programs offer a space to connect and learn. Reach out to the program coordinator to get started by emailing parentingprograms@bgccvi.com or call Ted at 250-338-7141

Caregivers can attend in-person or virtually for Parents Together and virtually for Parenting without power struggles.
