ADHD Support group @ Foundry
- One group is for youth (14-17)
- The other group is for parent/caregivers of ADHDers (aged 14-17).
Both groups are happening at the same time to allow for families to register as a unit, but youth or caregivers are welcome to register individually.
Program: Life in the Fast Brain (for ADHDers ages 14-17 and their families)
Dates: Tuesdays, April 8 – May 20
Time: 6:00-7:30 PM – dinner is provided
Location: Foundry Comox Valley (575 10th St, Courtenay)
What to expect: Two separate groups (one for youth and one for parents/caregivers) to learn more about ADHD brains, connect with peers, and explore strategies. Both the parent and youth groups will cover similar content, but the activities, discussions, and participation will be separate, allowing both cohorts to engage in their own tailored experience. Youth and caregivers are welcome to register together or independently.
Facilitators: Rachel Ducommun (Prevention and Early Intervention Coordinator) will host the youth group. Nancy Gardiner-Jones (Behavioural Consultant to Caregivers) and Victoria Ellis (Youth, Child & Family Outreach Counsellor) will be hosting the parent/caregiver group.
