Congrats to the senior girl’s basketball team for winning their game last night against John Barsby. The team is now 3-0!
Ski and Snowboard Team: Please meet on Thursday at 11:45 in the weight room. We start this Sunday!
The grade 8 girls basketball team will practice Tuesday at 3:20 and Thursday at 5:00 this week.
IMPROV- January: WEDNESDAYS LUNCH– Juniors, available team/seniors, and all “class only” students required to attend as we near the end of term.
THURSDAYS AFTERSCHOOL– Competitive Improv Practice. For students who attended x-rounds/ want to compete again in Feb must attend. No new students can join the team this year. New improvisors welcome again in September.
Any interested grade 12’s in being nominated for the Schulich Leader Scholarship, submit your rational to Ms. Dixon or Mr. Kuhnert by Jan 19th. Math Tutoring Volunteer Opportunity: Girls to the Power of Math (G^M) is a Not-for-Profit organization based in BC, Canada. They provide after-school programming for elementary school girls to boost their confidence in math through fun games and mentorship from high school mentors.
Airport Elementary is looking for some female high school students willing to mentor grade 3 girl from 3:00 to 4:00, Wednesdays, starting January 14th for 10 weeks. The group will be supervised by an elementary school teacher, Ms. Nolin. Students interested in participating may email the program organizer Sophie at sophie@girlstothepowerofmath.org.
