Senior Boys Volleyball Island Championships are this weekend at Highland starting at noon today.
The Highland Jr. Boys Volleyball team has successfully earned an invitation to the BC Provincial Volleyball tournament in Burnaby/New Westminster this month, and they are very excited!
The team has organized a bottle drive for this Saturday/Sunday to help support the costs of travels and accommodation. If you would like to donate anything, please email event organizers at s.mckenzie18@yahoo.ca with your address and day this weekend for pick up. Sponsors who may want to donate to the cause can send e-transfers with a memo for the Jr. Boys V-ball Provincials to highland@sd71.bc.ca Thank you! Your support is much appreciated!
Congratulations to October’s Library Learning Commons reading challenge winners – Edward Walton, Nathan Le Bourdais, and Juliet Becklumb who each won $10 Tim Hortons gift card. Be sure to enter the contest in the library every month when you finish reading a book. Prizes will be awarded to three

Desperately in need of volunteers for FIESTA this weekend! Need to collect those necessary 30 hours then this event is for you! FIESTA is 33 this year and the feel-good FIESTA WORLD CRAFT FAIR is needed now more than ever. High School students in the Valley have played a major role
in the success of FIESTA by volunteering at this event. FIESTA happens on Nov 15th and 16th and the time slots to available are Saturday 9:30 to 12:30 or 12:30 to 4 pm Sunday 9:30 to 1 pm or 1 to 5 pm. Please sign up with Mrs. Jerome in the library this week.
UBC Women in Engineering (WiE) is launching it’s 2025-2026 Engineering Online Workshop Series! WiE Online Workshop Series strives to increase female* high school students’ access to engineering and help students explore what engineering is and has to offer. There will be at least three workshops in this online
