Highland Indigenous Student Council
The council has been engaged in fundraising and helping to bring awareness to Indigenous issues that our students face. Some of the activities have included cultural awareness days, leadership at school wide assemblies, supporting elders in the community, supporting the Red Dress and Moosehide Campaign, Cultural Camps, supporting the Attiwapiskat crisis, promoting cultural pride and creating an inclusive setting for all students.

Queer Straight Alliance
Are you someone who identifies as Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Queer, Questioning, etc., and/or a straight ally who cares about acceptance and safer spaces in our school? Highland’s Queer-Straight Alliance (QSA) meets every Wednesday at the beginning of lunch in Room 203. Come hang out, bring your lunch, and be a part of advocacy & events in our awesome community.
