Focus Days are career exploration opportunities that allow students to investigate a variety of occupations and industries through hands-on, community-based learning experiences throughout the Comox Valley. Through participation in Focus Days, students have the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals, explore workplace environments, and gain valuable insight into the knowledge, skills, training, and educational pathways associated with different careers.

Offered throughout the school year, Focus Days support students in making informed decisions about their future education, training, and career goals. These experiential learning opportunities encourage students to connect classroom learning to real-world applications, develop career awareness, and explore areas of personal interest.

Focus Days are typically one-day experiences in which students attend an industry visit, workshop, or career exploration activity under the supervision of a Career Education teacher. As participants are away from their regular classes for the day, students are responsible for communicating with their teachers and completing any missed coursework, assignments, tests, or assessments.

Focus Days are supplemental career exploration activities and do not carry course credit.
