Trades Math – Preparing for a College Foundation Program
Math is an essential part of all trades. The requirement for most North Island Trades Foundations programs is Workplace Math 10 with a C. The exceptions to this are; Electrical – C+ in Foundations 11 or Pre-Calc 11 and Aircraft Structures – C+ Workplace 11 or Foundations 11. As a student, to be able to graduate you need to take a Math 11 regardless so for most programs you already have the requirement met for Math.
HOWEVER, for those that struggle with Math, below are the packages that North Island College offers as what you should be able to do going into the program. If you struggle with any of these parts, you may require extra math support and additional tutoring (at your expense).
