Help shape Comox Valley Schools’ future: Contribute to the Strategic Plan Survey

Comox Valley Schools is embarking on the development of a new Strategic Plan to guide the district and is seeking valuable input from staff, parents, students, and community members.

The Board of Education will be conducting in-depth focus groups and is requesting feedback from staff, students, parents/guardians, and community members through an online survey portal found on the district website. The survey, which forms a crucial part of this visioning process, will be available from February 21, 2024, at www.comoxvalleyschools.ca/our-strategic-plan

Board Chairperson, Michelle Waite, expressed her enthusiasm for the school community’s participation, stating, “This is a pivotal moment for our district as we look to the future. Your participation is crucial in ensuring that our strategic plan is robust, inclusive, and forward-thinking. We look forward to your valuable contributions and thank you in advance for your time and commitment to our schools.”

The survey aims to gather perspectives on various aspects of education in the district, including core competencies, values, vision, mission, and innovative strategies for powerful learning. Participants are encouraged to engage with the content to provide informed responses.

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jeremy Morrow, highlighted the importance of the survey in developing a focused educational pathway. “The survey is more than just a questionnaire, it’s a tool for us to align our educational strategies with the needs and aspirations of our students and community.”

Feedback received will directly impact how we support deep, rigorous, and lifelong learning across our schools.
