Accessibility and Belonging Conversations
SPARC BC sponsored Melissa Kendzierski from “Drawing Change” to create graphic representations of the conversations around accessibility, inclusion, and belonging.
Students 9 years and older with lived experience of a disability (24 attended) were invited from all schools. Inclusive Education provided an interpreter and co-facilitators. Each student was invited to bring a support person if required.
Members of the audit committees and creators of the screening tool attended the second conversation.
Members of the Inclusive Education department gathered for our third conversation.
