The cross-boundary transfer request process for Comox Valley Schools is open Feb. 1-28
Students registered in the Comox Valley School District may request a transfer to a school outside their catchment area for the 2026-2027 school year. The request window opens February 1, 2026 until February 28, 2026.
All requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The school district has established categories for cross boundary transfer requests in order of priority as follows:
1. Siblings living in Comox Valley registered in a district school.
2. Specialized educational programs offered at another secondary school location.
3. Childcare (K-7 only).
4. Extenuating circumstances detailed within a specific request.
Cross boundary requests will be accessible online Feb.1. To register, complete the fillable form that can be found at: https://www.comoxvalleyschools.ca/cross-boundary-request/
Upon completing the form, applicants must ensure they click on the submit button to finalize the request. You do not need to save, print or email the form to Comox Valley Schools Board Office. For individuals without a home computer or internet access, we invite you to use the computer located at the Comox Valley Schools Board Office located at 2488 Idiens Way in Courtenay. Alternatively, you can access the network at any Vancouver Island Regional Library.
