Concert Band
The Concert Band portion of the festival will be held November 17th, and November 18th at the Sid Williams Theatre.

Band Format
| Warm up | 30 minutes prior to performance |

EQUIPMENT
The Comox Valley Festival will provide the equipment listed below. Anything that is not on the list is your responsibility.

CLASS AND MUSIC SELECTIONS
Class placement in concert band is determined by the level of music chosen. If music is chosen from the b300 level, the band is adjudicated by the criteria standards of the b300 class. The selection of repertoire, suitable to the ensemble level and style, will be reflected in the final rating.
Ensembles are required to prepare three selections at their class level as follows:
- Optional warm-up chorale (not to be evaluated)
- Two selections of a comparable level of difficulty and in contrasting style
- One march
REGISTRATION FEE
- $375.00 for first ensemble; $325.00 for additional ensembles.
- Fee is non-refundable.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
- Friday, September 18th, 2026 – Due to high interest, please note registration is first come first serve.
CANCELLATIONS
- As a courtesy to those on the waiting list, please notify us if you have registered but are unable to attend the festival. This is a non-refundable festival.
AUDIENCE FOR PERFORMANCES
It is no fun performing to an empty hall! We invite all groups to show up and listen prior to their warmup time or after their clinic to provide a supportive audience for the other performers.
This non-competitive Festival does not post ratings; however, the festival does offer an opportunity to receive an invitation for MusicFest Canada
