Comox Valley Schools is inviting our school community to share input as we update our Long-Range Facilities Plan (LRFP).
The LRFP is an important planning tool that helps guide decisions about school buildings, sites and learning environments across the district over the next 10 years. It ensures our spaces continue to support student success and well-being, now and into the future.
A public survey is now available, providing an opportunity to share what matters most when planning the future of school facilities.
The LRFP is a Ministry-required strategic planning document that supports school districts in managing buildings and properties over time. It considers factors such as changing enrolment, space use, evolving educational programs, accessibility, safety and sustainability.
The updated plan will build on previous work, align with the district’s Strategic Plan and help inform future capital requests to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The survey invites participants to share perspectives on a range of topics, including priorities for school facilities, types of learning spaces, outdoor areas, community use and how the district should plan for growth and change over time.
Input gathered through the survey will be combined with technical analysis and partner engagement to help shape draft recommendations.
We encourage all members of our community to take part. The survey is open from April 15 to May 13, 2026.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
