The survey is open February 11 to March 14, 2026.

About the proposed calendars

School calendars must meet instructional hour requirements set by the Ministry of Education and Child Care.

The draft calendars were developed by a calendar committee that includes representatives from Senior Leadership, CVPVPA, CDTA, CUPE, DPAC, and a Trustee representative.

The proposed calendars focus on:

• instructional days
• non-instructional days
• vacation periods
• statutory holidays

They are not meant to address specific school-based events.

Who can participate

Feedback is welcome from members of the school community, including staff, families, students and community members.

What happens with your feedback

All feedback received during the engagement window will be reviewed and summarized to help inform the Board of Education as it considers the proposed calendars.
