Lake Trail Community School Celebrates Community and Connection at Annual Winter Feast
Lake Trail Community School was filled with warmth, laughter and community spirit yesterday as students and staff gathered for the school’s annual Winter Feast.
The celebration began with a school-wide assembly that set an energetic tone for the day, including a lively stack-the-box contest that had students cheering and fully engaged. The excitement continued into lunch, where the entire school community was treated to a traditional turkey dinner.

In total, 415 full turkey dinners were served to students and staff. All food was generously donated by Thrifty Foods and prepared by Lake Trail’s dedicated school team and Foods classes, turning the meal into a hands-on learning and community-building experience. The Thrifty’s team was on hand with some other district representatives who helped serve students.
The afternoon included a festive gingerbread decorating contest, fun prizes, and plenty of smiles as students enjoyed time together with full bellies and holiday cheer.

Lake Trail Community School extends sincere thanks to Thrifty Foods, Starbucks, the Lake Trail Community School Society, and the many staff volunteers who helped make the event possible.
Events like the Winter Feast reflect the strong relationships at the heart of Lake Trail Community School, bringing students, staff and community partners together to celebrate connection, generosity and belonging.
