New trustee for Area C elected

A new trustee will soon join the Board of Education following the by-election for the office of School Trustee – Area C. Cristi May Sacht successfully won the trustee by-election after general voting closed today for residents in Area C. Read the news release here.  

Lake Trail Middle School Resumes Classes Monday, December 7

The Courtenay middle school will reopen Monday following a closure on December 4th due to a safety issue. RCMP have completed an investigated and determined normal operations can safely resume. Read More Here (PDF)

Ministry of Education Detailed Plans Support Safe Return

Minster Rob Fleming announced that back to school plans for K-12 families are now posted on all school district websites across the province. Families are encouraged to visit their school website for specific plans in place for their child.
